Give Love a Chance by Maxine Ferris is a love story about Jordan Taylor, a former women’s basketball player and an Assistant Horticulture Professor at Michigan State University, and Paul Franklin, who played basketball in Europe and is now a Montessori Administrator and Director and is very active in his local church. Although the two talented professionals share a love of basketball and children, Jordan’s dark past has soured her on religion and keeps her from forming relationships with men. Thanks to common goals and interests, however, the two discover that men and women really can develop meaningful friendships without romance. But even with so many things in common, there are still barriers between them. The question is: Will the friends ever be able to Give Love a Chance?
